The Dubai Youth Innovation Olympiad (DYIO) is a first-of-its-kind, 100% student-led competitive platform designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
Built entirely by teenagers from Ambassador International Academy, DYIO brings together Dubai's most ambitious high school students to compete in high-stakes challenges inspired by real industries, policies, and global trends — aligned with UAE Vision 2040.
From logistics to judging coordination, everything is managed by our Teen Leadership Host Committee, making DYIO not just a competition — but a movement led by youth, for youth.

Who can participate in DYIO?▼
DYIO is open to all high school students aged 13–19 from any school in Dubai or the UAE. You can register as an individual student or as a school group of 4–6 students.
How much does it cost to participate?▼
There is a registration fee of AED 300 per student. This covers your full day of competition, judging, kit bag, stationery, and your official DYIO Participation Certificate.
What do I need to bring on the day?▼
Bring a laptop or tablet for your presentation, chargers, and any optional printed materials or prototypes. Notebooks, pens and stationery will be provided in your DYIO kit bag. The problem brief is revealed on the day.
How are teams judged?▼
Teams are judged out of 100 points across 5 criteria: Innovation & AI Use (25pts), Business Viability (25pts), Presentation & Pitch (20pts), Market Research (15pts), and Teamwork & Roles (15pts).
Can I participate if I don't have a full team?▼
Yes! You can register as an individual student. Our team will help place you in a group or you can compete in individual-focused challenges. Don't let not having a team stop you from participating.
How do I register my school?▼
Visit our registration page and select "School Group Signup". Fill in your school's details including the career counsellor's contact information, and register up to 6 students per team. You can register multiple teams from the same school.

DYIO 2026 takes place at Ambassador International Academy, Al Quoz, Dubai on June 11, 2026. The event runs from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Who We ARE
DYIO was born from a simple belief: students deserve more than what the classroom can offer. Dubai is a city built on innovation and ambition — and yet, there was no high-stakes platform where students could prove their potential in Business, Economics, and Technology all in one place.
So we built one. From scratch. As students.
The Dubai Youth Innovation Olympiad is organised entirely by the DYIO Teen Leadership Committee — 11 ambitious students from Ambassador International Academy who manage every aspect of the event, from logistics and judging coordination to sponsorships and marketing.

Who can participate?▼
Any high school student aged 13–19 from any school in Dubai or the UAE. Individual or group registrations both welcome.
Is it free to enter?▼
There is a registration fee of AED 300 per student. This covers your full competition day including kit bag, stationery, certificates, and all event activities from 8AM to 7PM.
How do I register a school group?▼
Click "Apply Now" and select "School Group Signup". You'll enter details for 4–6 students plus your school's career counsellor contact.
Can I join without a full team?▼
Absolutely. Register as an individual and our team will help place you or you can compete individually.
